Are You Committing These 4 Mistakes?
Mistake No1: Confusing activity with productivity.
This is the number one mistake which is done by almost every sales professional. A lot of times sales professionals think that by doing more they think they will get more. Some do more calls, some spend time in meetings, some spend more time on social media to generate leads, etc. But the question is, is it effective? It is not about increasing the number of calls but how many calls were effective? It is not about number of meetings but is the meeting effective? It is not about generating more leads from social media but is the leads effective?
Don’t be busy in activity but check you are productivity.
Mistake No2: Assuming That Everyone is your customer.
This is mistake which is most common. Not everyone is your customer. Remember, when you say everybody, somebody, and anybody you will end up selling to nobody. Your customer is as unique as your product/ service. Identify your ideal customer and focus on serving them.
Mistake No3: Not Enough Follow-up:
Do you know 80% of sales happen between the 5th and 12th contact! And what is most surprising is 48% sales professionals never follow up, 25% of sales professionals never make a second contact and stop, and 12% of sales professionals make 3 contacts and then stop.
Mistake No4: Selling Too Early
We live in a time where not everyone wants to buy from everyone but everyone wants to sell to everyone. When you are selling too early you are losing out the opportunity to build trust and people only buy from those who they trust first than from everyone.
Stop making mistakes & even if you do never repeat the mistake.
